Job Description at Titanic Hotel Belfast, located at 8 Queen’s Road. We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team.
At Titanic Hotel Belfast, we look for people who are friendly, welcoming and full of life, who help make every guest’s experience enjoyable. The hotel opened in September 2017 and is a luxury 119-bedroom property created in the former Harland & Wolff headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Take a primary role in keeping the kitchen up to the required level of cleanliness
- Ensure all relevant equipment is cleaned and returned to the relevant department as efficiently as possible during busy trading periods
- Follow the daily/weekly cleaning schedule
- Clean the staff restaurant after each service session
- Keep the back of house corridors clean
- Follow the correct usage instructions on all chemicals and ensure they are stored correctly
- Report any suspicious incidents
- Attend any training sessions as required
- Report promptly lost and found property
- Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary
- Familiarise yourself with Core Values TITANIC and the behaviours expected of all employees
- Ensure compliance with the company dress code
- Have a thorough knowledge of and adhere to laws and company regulations including: fire, health and safety, and first aid procedures
- Undertake special duties or work outside normal daily/weekly routine within the overall scope of the position when requested by the Executive Chef, Senior Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chefs
