We are currently looking for a
Food and Beverage Supervisor to join us!
Job purpose
To serve all food and beverage as required by hotel standards.
Responsible for managing shifts and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Assist with maintaining all levels of courtesy, service and cleanliness of the outlets.
About the Role
Main duties and responsibilities
- Ensure exemplary hospitality to the guest and staff at all times
- Ensure orders of food and beverage are served promptly in accordance with hotel standards
- Maintain required stock levels for food and beverage and adequate mis‑en‑place for each shift
- Maintain liquor control, complete ullage, transfers and requisitions accurately to minimise wastage
- Encourage proactive upselling by the team
- Be conversant with systems and supervise collection of all monies, ensuring accurate guest billing
- Ensure the team follows a rigid cleaning procedure in the outlet
- Act on opportunities within and outside the department to remedy guest and colleague needs
- In the manager’s absence, take responsibility to run the department to required company standards
- Ensure the outlet adheres to correct opening times and procedures
- Report all maintenance faults to Maintenance and follow through; report any loss or severe damage to management
- Handle cashing up and closing the outlet
- Attend and contribute to all daily/weekly team meetings in the manager’s absence
- Hold daily briefings with the department prior to the shift commencing
- Assist with on‑the‑job training for team members as required
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments in the hotel and attend all relevant training as required
- Ensure all security standards are maintained: Liquor Stocks, Hotel Equipment, Bar Keys, Bar Floats, Bar Glasses
- Have thorough knowledge of and adherence to regulations: Licensing Laws, Health and Safety Regulations, Food Handling & Hygiene Laws, Fire Regulations and Procedures, First Aid Procedures
- Familiarise yourself with our Core Values TITANIC and display the desired behaviours
- Model the company dress code and grooming/appearance standards, ensuring your team complies
- Take on special duties or work outside the normal routine within the overall scope of the role at the request of your Line Manager/Operations Manager
