At Titanic Hotel Belfast, we look for people who are friendly, welcoming, and full of life—always finding ways to make every guest’s experience enjoyable.

Job Purpose: To ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are always demonstrated, completing all relevant procedures as laid by the company and liaising closely with Reservations, Housekeeping, Conference and Banqueting, and Finance.

About The Role:

  • Be fully conversant with the facilities, services, and special promotions offered by the hotel and pass this information on to guests to maximise hotel sales.
  • Provide hospitable service to the standards laid down in the Training Standards Manual.
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond to all written and spoken requests, and carry them out courteously.
  • Operate the hotel’s front office systems accurately.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly posted to guests’ bills following standard procedures.
  • Monitor hotel availability and seize every opportunity to maximise room sales.
  • Handle cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions in accordance with hotel and company policy, and report discrepancies immediately.
  • Check that the cash float handed over is correct.
  • Relay messages to guests accurately and promptly.
  • Possess sound knowledge of the local area, including history, places of interest, and events.
  • Operate the hotel switchboard and handle all internal and external calls per procedure.
  • Secure safety deposits, guests’ property, and lost property following security procedures.
  • Notify the Front Office Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager when stationary stocks are low.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments.
  • Attend all relevant training as required.
  • Familiarise yourself with Core Values TITANIC and display the desired behaviours.
  • Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.
  • Adhere to legal regulations, including fire regulations, health and safety, and first aid procedures.
  • Always observe the company dress code.
  • Carry out special duties or work outside the normal routine at the request of supervisors or managers.
