Titanic Hotel Belfast opened its doors for business in September 2017. This luxury 119-bedroom hotel was created in the former headquarters of Harland & Wolff, builders of Titanic, and provides the perfect destination for anyone travelling to the Titanic Quarter on business or for pleasure.
Job purpose: As Assistant Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing operations to deliver an exceptional guest and team member experience; manage, train, and develop team members, and work within all budgeted guidelines. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage bar and dining operations
- Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
- Manage, train and develop the team
- Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to payroll setting correct work schedules
- Drive sales to maximise budgeted revenue
- Develop menus with other members of Food and Beverage team
- Incentivise team members to maximize sales and revenue
- Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
- To attend and contribute to all daily/weekly team meetings
- Participate in beverage stocktaking and ensure stock levels are at the required level
- Assist with recruitment and manpower planning
- Familiarise yourself with our Core Values TITANIC which link to the desired behaviours that we expect all our employees to display
- To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law regarding the following company regulations: Licensing laws, Health and safety regulations, Food handling and hygiene regulations, Fire regulations and procedures, First aid procedures
- To be a good example of the company dress code and appearance standards – ensuring that your team fully comply with these
- To undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of the Deputy General Manager/General Manager
