The role of the Housekeeper is to perform overall housekeeping services of the apartment complex under the direction of the Community Manager or Service Manager. The Housekeeper maintains the clubhouse and office and prepares vacant apartments in a sparkling-clean appearance for future residents. The Housekeeper provides the first impression of every resident that walks into the interior of the property, therefore this job is of utmost importance to the property.
Essential Duties
- Maintain the interior of the following areas of the property as per the scheduled daily, tri-weekly, or bi-weekly schedule: office, clubhouse, models, laundry rooms, other common areas, vacant units.
- Perform all work under safety procedures of the maintenance manual (protective gear such as gloves, shoes, eye shields, etc.).
- Ensure cleanliness of all vacant units and receive priority work from the Community Manager or Service Manager.
- Prepare vacant units for move-in: appliances, bathrooms, glass, steam cleaning only remains.
- Dust, vacuum, and freshen up vacant units that have been ready for more than one week.
- Care for and maintain all equipment entrusted to the Housekeeper.
- Maintain cleaning supplies, request re-ordering in a timely manner, keep MSDS sheets in order, label chemicals properly.
- Perform other duties as required by the Community Manager or Service Manager from time to time.
- Greet residents with a cheerful greeting and helpful attitude as part of the resident retention program.
- Accept responsibility placed on the Housekeeper by the Service Manager and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Immediate pick up of any litter from any exterior or common area.
- Perform any duties assigned by supervisor whether or not part of this job description.
- When running errands for the property, keep a current driverβs license and valid car insurance on site.

Reports To
The Housekeeper reports to the Community Manager or Service Manager and receives direction and daily assignments from them.

May be required to live on site. Housing discount will be dictated by ownership allowances. Utilities, phone and cable TV not included.
