The Titan Group provides a broad range of services across the whole wealth value chain – from financial planning to investment management. Its strategy is to offer modular, incremental services to its clients, allowing them to adjust their business models as needed. Titan is also an active acquirer of UK-based asset managers and other wealth-related businesses.

Titan Private Wealth, our investment management arm, and Titan Financial Planning, our financial planning business (recently rebranded from Cardale), were founded in 2003 and are based in Harrogate. Titan Private Wealth and Titan Financial Planning operate as the Titan Wealth Group’s North of England hub and offer:

  • A dynamic and experienced management team who have re-invested into the firm post-acquisition, supported by a robust governance structure and embedded compliance culture.
  • Forward-looking and sustainable growth, strategically driven by high-quality earnings, organic growth, selective acquisitions, and a stable cost base.
  • A differentiated operating model with all key functions handled in-house to ensure adherence to stringent financial systems and controls and maximum protection for client assets.

The role

To manage the relationship and investments of clients on a discretionary basis and to provide any other related services which fall within the Client Agreement. To be instrumental in introducing new funds under management into the business. The role is based within our Harrogate office.

Key responsibilities

  • To manage clients’ investments (including providing investment advice) to meet the clients’ investment objectives within the scope of their declared risk profile and in line with the firm’s Asset Allocation process and Outliers reporting and Client Suitability requirements.
  • To represent the company to clients, potential clients, and introducers of clients at the standard necessary to develop the business in accordance with strategic and financial objectives.
  • To maintain good client relationships.
  • To encourage a culture of compliance throughout the company.
  • To manage (where appropriate) support staff in the delivery of their personal and team objectives and responsibilities.
  • To develop own professional expertise through on-the-job training, formal training, and, where appropriate, professional qualifications.
  • To comply with the Consumer Duty to act to deliver good outcomes for clients.
  • To maintain compliance with the honesty and integrity, training and competence, and financial soundness requirements of the FIT and Proper Test for Approved Person and act in accordance with the FCA’s Code of Conduct.
  • To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • Adhere to consumer duty.

Education and requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of investment management related experience.
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions.
