For over 40 years, Titan Trailers has been building custom trailers in Canada for Canadian and international customers. Each trailer is individually designed to give our customers the quality equipment needed to compete and win in today's market.

We have recruited and trained an unbeatable team of tradespeople and shop professionals to handle every process from R&D to finishing.

Our UK Division located in Grangetown, Middlesbrough has openings for experienced Welder/Fabricators.

The position of Welder/fabricator includes, but is not limited to all position welding aluminium custom trailers. The use of various hand tools, machinery and equipment will be required.

Job Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using gas metal arc welding, Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Maintain safe work practices.
  • Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by Shop Manager

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Welder Fabricator.
  • Experience in MIG welding
  • Ability to weld aluminium a definite asset
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

Work Conditions

  • State of the art modern workshop facilities.
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
  • Hazards associated with the trade.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25kgs.

Regular hours are, Full Time Monday to Friday, no weekends or evenings

Monday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Tuesday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Wednesday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Thursday 6:00am to 3:30pm

Friday 6:00am to 1:00pm

Candidates will start on £15.50 p/h, once a successful 3 month probation has been completed the rate will then increase to £17.00 p/h.
