HGV Class 2 Driver Loader – Waste & Recycling Sector
Locations: Evercreech (BA4), Yeovil (BA22), Bridgwater (TA6)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:15am – 14:15pm
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Job Type: Ongoing, Temp to Perm Opportunity
The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting local communities by helping collect household waste and recycling from residential areas across the Southwest.
- Safely drive a HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on a pre-planned route.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Loaders to complete daily rounds efficiently.
- Assist with loading waste and recycling when needed – especially during busy periods.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
- A can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in waste collection or similar sector preferred but not essential.
- Must be comfortable assisting with loading duties as part of a physical role.
