This is a full-time, hybrid (office-based with regular travel to customers and industry events) Business Development Manager role located in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across Titan's Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology divisions along with managing, supporting, and developing existing automotive/non-automotive customer accounts.
We primarily operate in the Automotive and Motorsport industries but do have an expanding portfolio of clients in the Defence and Scientific markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Titan's customer base, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting the long-term growth objectives of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying target markets and customers
- Generating and qualifying new opportunities
- Managing the sales pipeline
- Preparing commercial proposals
- Leading customer negotiations
- Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders
The role will also involve working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and translated into successful project outcomes. The Business Development Manager will be expected to develop and execute business growth strategies, represent Titan at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events, and provide market intelligence to support future investment and product development decisions.
About You:
- Proven experience in a Business Development Manager, OEM/Tier 1 Account Management and/or Senior Commercial role within engineering, manufacturing, or technology sectors
- Demonstrable success in identifying and securing new business opportunities and delivering sustainable revenue growth
- Success in building and maximising relationships with key OEM’s and/or Tier 1 Customers at various levels
- Experience developing and executing business development strategies within technical or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, manufacturing services, engineered systems, or related industries (automotive, motorsport, defence, aerospace, off-highway, industrial, or similar sectors)
- Technically minded, with the ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and customer requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to establish and maintain co-operative relationships with internal departments and cross-functional areas
- Working knowledge of mainstream Sales CRM systems and/or Sales planning tools
- Commercially astute with the ability to develop compelling customer value propositions
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of Steering and/or Fluid systems would be advantageous
- Willingness to travel as required
