Reimagine What’s Possible
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Engineering Technical Specialist will act as the technical lead for customer engineering installations and applications equipment range installed across the UKIIIN Subregion; to ensure equipment reliability, maintenance standards and service levels for complex commercial technology systems including Food, Metals and Glass, Water, Generated Gases, HES, Biomed and Welding applications equipment. This role will require frequent travel to installations across the sub-region.
- The individual will be required to support commissioning, troubleshooting and process improvements for the portfolio of applications installations; be the link between projects and maintenance teams during commissioning/process optimization work.
- As new product lines/equipment are brought into the market, the individual is expected to work closely with the R&D and Central Technical Teams to develop and retain technical knowledge required to support the operations and maintenance of the equipment in the field.
- Sit on relevant regional/global COP panels to develop, implement and share best practices within the subregion.
- Provide technical guidance for any retrofit/improvement programs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the commercial team to assist in selling of equipment & maintenance services.
- Provide technical input to contract roll and asset reuse projects across the subregion.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance and project engineering teams.
- Support the maintenance team on costs management for the large applications customers to drive out waste and develop spares strategies for large customers.
- Support technical training in all applications to ensure adequately trained AP and contractors.
- Conduct site/field inspection visits as required to support efficient, reliable and safe operations of installations on customer sites.
- The individual will be the PSSR lead for UK & I Engineering, ensuring compliance of installed systems, resolving issues/conflicts with HSE together with EH&S, and sit on the PSSR steering committee for customer stations.
- Provide technical support to the maintenance teams with the ongoing revalidation program to maintain legal compliance across all of the pressure vessel portfolio. Work with the central pressure systems team to review and modify inspection regimes as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry standards (e.g. BCGA, EIGA, etc.) and drive relevant change within the subregion.
- Develop, review and maintain technical procedures.
- Lead/support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for the Engineering organisation.
This role will have key interfaces with various teams such as commercial, maintenance, logistics, projects, Hull OSC and central technical teams.
