Reimagine Infinite Possibilities

We are looking for an HGV Driver reporting to the facility at Stanlow Oil Refinery. You will deliver gas cylinders to customers on and off-site efficiently, following all safety, quality, and service standards and procedures.

You will be a key member of a small team of 2 drivers, ensuring customer needs are met. Responsibilities include handling customer orders and inquiries, operating a large goods vehicle (LGV Rigid Vehicle), and using a forklift for sorting and picking orders.

Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, operational and technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and teamwork skills.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 15:30, with flexibility based on customer demands (37.5 hours per week).

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive salary, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety standards are maintained on site.
  • Picking, sorting, and loading cylinders for delivery.
  • Operating a rigid LGV to deliver cylinders.
  • Operating a forklift during loading.
  • Maintaining the delivery vehicle in line with licensing requirements.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
  • Dealing with customer inquiries and providing leads to the commercial team.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Large Goods Vehicle Licence C (Class 2).
  • ADR Licence (minimum Class 2 packages).
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
  • Forklift Licence.
  • Proficiency with PC and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of local areas.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to procedures.
