We are partnering with an early-stage AI company building an agentic AI platform designed to transform how teams within financial services operate. This is a rare opportunity to join as a Founding AI Engineer, working at the core of the product and playing a key role in shaping both the technology and the engineering culture from day one.

The Opportunity

You will be building production-grade AI agents that automate complex, mission-critical workflows across client-facing and operational teams. These agents integrate with existing systems, pull from internal and external data sources, and execute real work on behalf of users with optional human-in-the-loop control. The platform is already live with paying customers, generating meaningful revenue, and has a long-term roadmap focused on scale, depth, and impact. This is not an R&D sandbox; this is real AI, in production, solving real problems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and building agentic AI systems using modern LLM and ML tooling
  • Developing AI-driven workflows that integrate with existing enterprise systems
  • Owning features end-to-end from concept through deployment and iteration
  • Working closely with founders and stakeholders to shape product direction
  • Moving quickly in a lean environment, shipping early and refining continuously
  • Helping define engineering standards, architecture, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience as an AI / Machine Learning Engineer in production environments
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, or autonomous systems
  • Excellent Python skills and familiarity with modern ML frameworks
  • Comfort working in early-stage or fast-moving startup environments
  • A product-first mindset; you care deeply about what you’re building and why
  • Someone who enjoys complexity, ownership, and building things from scratch

This role suits someone who takes professional pride in their work and wants to build something that genuinely changes how an industry operates.

Why This Role?

  • Founding-level impact; your work will directly shape the platform
  • Modern AI stack; building at the cutting edge, not maintaining legacy systems
  • Strong equity upside alongside a competitive salary
  • Hybrid London setup with a collaborative, high-calibre team
  • A product already in market, with traction, revenue, and momentum

Package

  • £80,000 - £120,000 base salary
  • 0.2% - 0.6% equity
  • Private healthcare
  • Pension
  • New MacBook
  • Annual team offsite
