Join a fast-paced mechanical systems team working on advanced R&D and electrification projects for a global manufacturer of propulsion systems for commercial and defence vehicles. Based in West London, you'll collaborate with small, agile teams to design and test innovative hardware solutions, reporting to an engineering manager and project lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design components and assemblies for electrification R&D projects with manufacturing feasibility in mind
  • Create and manage design documentation including assembly drawings and FEA reports
  • Develop test plans and support physical testing and analysis of results
  • Liaise with suppliers on material selection and production methods
  • Contribute to improving mechanical engineering processes and tools

Required Skills & Experience

  • BEng or MEng in a relevant discipline
  • Strong CAD skills (preferably Siemens NX) and knowledge of GD&T to BS8888
  • Familiar with sheet metal, extrusion, plastic, and machined part design
  • Understanding of additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally in hybrid/electric vehicle applications
