Senior Staff Software Engineer | London | Up to £150K | 5 Days Onsite
We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Staff Software Engineer to join an early-stage, fast-growing startup and build the next generation of AI products.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who has actually built and shipped agentic AI systems into production not simply worked in ML, data science, or AI research.

What you’ll be doing:
Build and ship AI products end-to-end, from architecture through to production.

Design and develop agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications.

Build robust backend services using Python or Type Script, with a strong emphasis on async Python.

Work hands-on with asyncio, coroutines,

Async Open AI, and production-grade error handling.

Develop scalable systems using modern cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, serverless and distributed systems.

Integrate AI products with CRMs, event-driven platforms and external APIs.

Work directly with customers to understand problems, scope solutions and deliver impactful products.

Take significant ownership in an early-stage startup environment, where you’ll have a direct influence on the product and technology.

What we’re looking for:
4–10 years’ experience in full-stack software engineering, ideally backend-leaning.

Strong hands-on experience building and shipping AI products and agentic systems.

Excellent Python or Type Script skills.

Strong production experience with async Python, including coroutines, httpx and Async Open AI.

Experience with Kubernetes, serverless architectures or distributed systems.

Experience working in an early-stage startup (Series A or earlier).

Experience with voice AI, event-driven systems, CRM integrations or similar customer-facing AI applications.

Comfortable working directly with non-technical customers and translating business problems into technical solutions.

Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Strong product mindset and the ability to operate with a high degree of ownership.
