We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver sustainability initiatives within Procurement. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will drive the operational delivery of the Procurement sustainability roadmap, translating strategy into measurable actions across suppliers, processes, and governance. You will ensure effective execution of projects that reduce supply chain impact, support compliance, and embed sustainability into sourcing decisions.
What’s on Offer
- Attractive hourly rate (Outside IR35)
- Contract: 6 months - potential extension, project is 1-2 years
- Hybrid: 3-4 days on site per week (essential due to close collaboration with buyers and on-site teams)
- Hours: 37 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end to end sustainability projects owned by Procurement
- Support the reduction of supply chain emissions and help define/deliver supplier decarbonisation plans
- Deliver and track supplier compliance evidence (data, audits, questionnaires, corrective actions)
- Work with Group/Brand leads to implement Chain of Custody processes
- Provide hands on support to Buyers, commodity teams, and strategic suppliers
- Create and maintain monthly sustainability reporting (emissions, energy, waste, water) using agreed tools
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or Business
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ESG, LCA, Procurement)
- Strong practical understanding of ISO 14001
- Proven operational project management capability with a focus on delivering outcomes
- Ability to manage complex workstreams, risks, timelines, costs, and deliverables
- Experience providing operational guidance to stakeholders (buyers, suppliers, cross-functional teams)
