As a Lead Engineer (electrical bias) for a famous food manufacturer, you will be responsible for leading three shift engineers, leading projects and providing hands-on PPM and OEE support to the proactive maintenance team. This challenging role requires a time-served/apprentice trained engineer with previous experience in a fast-paced environment. Bottling and Filling experience will make you stand out in this factory which manufactures famous brand sauces.
Your responsibilities as Lead (Electrical Bias) Engineer will include:
- Manage the engineering shift of 3 direct reports, to provide maximum availability of all production plant and support equipment.
- Implement initiatives that drive out costs, improve OEE and waste reduction.
- Ensure that the engineering team operates to maximise machine uptime, planned maintenance, health and safety, quality culture, hygiene, and budgetary requirements.
- Carry out PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance across the factory.
Your Profile:
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical Bias or Multi-skilled) NVQ or C&G Level 3
- Proven leadership and team management expertise
- Experience in managing contractors and issuing permit-to-work procedures
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
