As a Multi Skilled Engineer you will provide support to the maintenance team on site with all breakdowns, PPM and scheduled activities. This challenging role requires an experienced apprenticeship trained engineer (minimum of City & Guilds) in an engineering discipline with extensive FMCG, Pharma or Food Manufacturing industry experience. This is your opportunity to develop your career with an established, growing pharmaceutical manufacturer. Unusually the business has its own UK manufacturing base and a track record of supplying individualised or difficult to make medicines for clinicians and pharmacists. Profitable and with annual sales of c. £100 million they rank in the top 5 independent pharmaceutical companies in the UK. The vision of the directors and shareholders is to create a fast-growing international specialty pharma company which is marketing led, based on differentiated products and puts the customer at the centre of the organisation.
Double day shift: alternating weeks - Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm
Your Profile:
- Minimum City & Guilds in an engineering discipline linked to an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training qualification.
- Significant experience of maintenance engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Plus good working knowledge of at least one of the following:
- Sterile manufacturing and filling processes
- Particle inspection equipment
- Automated Container integrity test equipment
- Labelling equipment
- Bottle filling equipment
- Cartoning equipment
- Thermo-former based packaging lines
- Operation of PLC based equipment
- Pumps/motors & Mechanical drives
- Electrical drives and basic electrical diagnostics
- Ampoule/vial/bottle/carton transportation systems
- Building services including HVAC, boilers and Water plant
- Process pipework and systems
- Autoclaves/Sterilising Ovens
Package:
- £48,450 including shift allowance
- Up to 3% Bonus
