Our client, a global leader in industrial maintenance, is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (electrically biased) to support operations at their Yeovil site, operating within a highly regulated and fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The Role
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a strong focus on fault finding and repair
- Diagnose and repair issues on single and three-phase systems, motors, and control equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics to support effective fault diagnosis
- Perform electrical testing, installation, and basic PLC fault finding
- Support mechanical repairs, including fabrication, welding (MIG and TIG), and machining when required
- Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
About You
- A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification
- Proven electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair skills, including work on single and three-phase systems
- Ability to test, maintain, and repair motors, control panels, and electrical equipment
- Competent in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Experience or working knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics (preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, and industrial automation
- Solid mechanical maintenance capability to support plant operations when required
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience using tools, workshop machinery, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
