Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading machine tool manufacturer that has been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
We are currently seeking a Spindle Assembly Build Operator working a double day shift pattern.
Job Description
- Mechanical fitting and preparation work on a variety of spindle types including lathes and machining centres.
- Ensure all activities are completed within health and safety guidelines.
- Actively engage with all company quality control initiatives.
- Follow written procedures and detailed checklists.
Essential Criteria
- Previous mechanical fitting and assembly experience.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and use hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and work from drawings.
- Strong communication skills working closely with team leaders and supervisors.
- Team player who can work to build programme and deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure but maintain very high standards of work.
- Positive attitude and ability to build relationships within the team.

- Working hours are rotating shifts: 05:30 am – 01:30 pm Monday to Friday, then the PM shift 02:00 pm – 10:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and Friday 02:00 pm – 08:00 pm.
