An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Woking, Surrey area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers. The hospital offers tailored programmes to help improve mental health and wellbeing and provides both NHS and private healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying patients' psychological, emotional and behavioural problems
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans and therapeutic processes for patients
  • Helping patients define plans and goals to achieve personal, educational and social development and adjustment
  • Monitoring the progress of patients through meetings and sessions
  • Helping clients make positive progress in their lives and providing support and advice to carers
  • Conducting scientific research of behaviour and brain function to determine better treatments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience practicing in DBT and CBT modalities
  • Ability to work integratively
  • Knowledge and experience of at least one other psychological model
  • Demonstrated respect towards, and the ability to cooperate with, colleagues and the support team
  • Ability to show a can-do attitude
