Do you want to work for a leading manufacturer, with the job security of being part of a global group? They are looking for a Weekend Engineering Supervisor to lead a team that carries out all PPM and reliability engineering activities during the weekend shutdown period.
Role And Responsibilities Of The Weekend Engineering Supervisor:
- Hands-on leading a team of 3 engineers to complete planned maintenance and reliability tasks
- Work closely with the other engineering supervisor to organise PPMs around production
- PPM workload allocation, prioritisation of tasks, completion of work orders in SAP
- Create new PPM plans, monitoring reliability engineering and suggest improvements
- Still partake in hands-on tasks with the team, electrical and mechanical PPMs, CI work and repairs of production machinery
- Liaise with the storesperson to report on used spares, parts and forecast what will be needed for future weekend PPM tasks
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to be the Weekend Engineering Supervisor:
- Strong PPM and reliability maintenance experience
- Able to lead from the front, prioritise tasks and organise PPM schedules effectively
- Experience as a team leader or proven track record of working towards
- Ideally be a multi-skilled engineer
- Beneficial if completed a time-served apprenticeship
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and reliability engineering
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Previously have worked in some form of manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Ideally have used SAP systems or something similar
- Comfortable being the most senior person on site over the weekends
