Overview
This role is responsible for managing an existing territory, developing new business across London and surrounding areas, working with key accounts and driving growth in the on-trade sector. The successful candidate will be proactive, passionate about wine, and capable of autonomous scheduling.
Responsibilities
- New business development and maintenance of existing business, with commercial management of P&L and weekly planning.
- Build long-term trading relationships with key volume and image accounts.
- Collaborate with the On-Trade sector to promote the portfolio and signature products.
- Deliver brand education and training to supplier, retailer and consumer audiences.
- Qualitative selection and development of customers.
- Identify effective sponsorship and promotional opportunities.
- Provide feedback on customer opportunities and competitor threats.
The Ideal Wine Development Manager
- Candidate must come from a drinks background with strong understanding of the On-Trade and wine.
- Extensive experience winning new business in the On-Trade, along with relationship building and account management.
- WSET Level 2 or higher.
- Personable, development-focused and motivated to become a company superstar.
- Results-oriented with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel and to work evenings and weekends when required.
