Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home in Weston-super-Mare for an experienced and committed Senior Care Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a senior care professional to take on added responsibility within a supportive team, helping to deliver high standards of care to elderly residents.
Hours
- Average 24 hours per week on a weekly rota
- Alternate weekend working required
- Shift patterns: 08:00β14:00 and 14:00β20:00
- On-call responsibilities shared between the senior team
Pay Rate
GBP 14.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the home alongside management
- Leading shifts and supervising care staff
- Administering medication in line with training and policies
- Ensuring high standards of person-centred care at all times
- Acting as a senior point of contact for staff, residents, and families
- Maintaining accurate care documentation and contributing to care planning
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader
- Medication trained
- Experience within elderly residential care
- QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards this qualification
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A compassionate and professional approach to care
