Primary Teaching Assistant (Supply Roles) – Tiverton

Location: Tiverton, Devon (Primary Schools)

Daily Pay Rate: £92.56 – £95.00 per day (Weekly Pay)

Working Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Contract Type: Supply / Temporary (Full‑time and part‑time options)

Start Date: September 2026

Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as autism (ASD) and speech and language delays.
  • Lead small‑group interventions and targeted learning activities in core subjects like literacy and numeracy.
  • Support the primary class teacher in preparing resources and managing pupil behaviour.
  • Supervise pupils to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment during classroom and break times.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in any of the following settings: schools, nurseries, youth work, or care settings.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one through Randstad).
  • Exceptional patience, communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
