An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle Architectures Efficiency role to support the strategic delivery of vehicle efficiency attributes within an Agile engineering environment. The Vehicle Architectures Efficiency position focuses on technical leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and robust governance across complex vehicle programmes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic target setting for the Vehicle Efficiency attribute, including competitive benchmarking, legislative assessment, and customer data analysis.
- Coordinate and contribute to Vehicle Efficiency attribute virtual verification activities and detailed data analysis.
- Assess target compatibility and negotiate alignment between the Vehicle Efficiency attribute and vehicle energy node owners.
- Collaborate with energy node owners to influence and define technology roadmaps aligned to Vehicle Efficiency requirements and customer trends.
- Support effective Vehicle Efficiency attribute governance across vehicle programmes, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending appropriate actions.
- Ensure Vehicle Efficiency attribute and energy node assumption data is robustly managed and accessible to relevant business stakeholders.
- Work closely with tools and methods teams to align Vehicle Efficiency development requirements with overall programme objectives.
- Contribute to tools and methods development project work where programme delivery allows.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the line manager.
Requirements Of The Role
- Strong technical engineering background with a structured and methodical approach to problem solving, suitable for a Vehicle Architectures Efficiency role.
- Significant experience in vehicle attribute and/or vehicle system delivery.
- Detailed knowledge of vehicle efficiency legislative homologation and certification processes.
