An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Requirements Engineer to support the definition, development, and ownership of electrical efficiency requirements across complex vehicle programmes, with a strong focus on customer needs and cross-functional alignment.
Responsibilities
- Create electrical power targets and convert them into clear, actionable engineering requirements.
- Maintain ownership of requirements throughout the full product lifecycle, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Author, develop, and maintain test cases used to validate requirements across the lifecycle.
- Ensure test cases are effectively communicated into validation and testing disciplines.
- Act as the primary liaison within the electrical efficiency team, representing requirements across all engineering functions.
- Ensure consistent understanding and implementation of requirements across all stakeholders.
- Track requirement changes and assess their impact on current and future vehicle programmes.
- Lead updates to requirements and communicate changes clearly across the business.
Requirements Of The Role
- Proven experience writing, managing, and owning technical requirements in a structured engineering environment, suitable for a Lead Requirements Engineer.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using requirements management tools such as Dassault TRM or IBM DOORS.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model development processes.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in an engineering discipline.
