An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integrated Energy Management Lead Engineer to take a leading role in delivering data-driven, intelligent, and optimised vehicle energy management in support of Vehicle Efficiency attributes within an Agile engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of optimised vehicle energy nodes in line with Vehicle Efficiency attributes, including driving range and energy consumption.
- Collaborate with a wide range of engineers and business stakeholders to deliver vehicle programmes against the Quality Operating Schedule.
- Identify risks and opportunities using robust, data-driven analysis to inform engineering direction and business decisions.
- Support Agile squads by planning and sharing work through focused and engaging scrum events.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Identify, manage, and support the removal of impediments and risks.
- Enable effective collaboration between stakeholders across the business.
- Coordinate and contribute to Vehicle Efficiency attribute verification activities and data analysis.
- Support effective Vehicle Efficiency attribute governance across vehicle programmes, providing recommendations to manage risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with tools and methods teams to support Vehicle Efficiency attribute development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities where programme delivery allows.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the line manager.
Requirements Of The Role
- Knowledge or experience of working within Agile operating principles, suitable for an Integrated Energy Management Lead Engineer.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evidence of a structured, methodical approach to problem solving.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex data, risks, and recommendations clearly.
- Technical engineering background.
- Experience of vehicle attribute and/or vehicle system delivery.
- Degree educated, ideally in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
