We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Sales Development Engineer with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join our first class business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell a range of high quality Industrial Automation products, e.g. PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation to OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets throughout the area South of Manchester and North Derbyshire, including Glossop, Buxton, Stockport, Macclesfield, Altrincham, Warrington, and Liverpool.
  • Develop a personal plan to achieve defined sales targets and manage and further develop an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying new avenues of business.
  • Operate with strong technical credibility and commercial drive, solving real engineering challenges in front of customers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a record of sales success and achievement.
  • Formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and sales ability, ideally supplemented with further career development training to enhance sales skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to work effectively as part of a team and be autonomous.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft packages.
