An opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join a well-established professional law firm providing trusted legal services to individuals and businesses, combining traditional values with a modern, client-focused approach. As an HR Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager, assisting with the smooth delivery of HR processes across the employee lifecycle. This office-based role offers a salary of up to GBP 27,000 and benefits. Some travel to other office locations may be required.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for routine HR enquiries.
- Record and monitor employee holidays and absences.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist with all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Arrange training courses and development activities for employees.
- Produce employment-related correspondence and documentation using approved templates, including contracts of employment.
- Manage diaries and monitor shared inboxes.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR function.
Qualifications
- Previously worked as an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, Human Resources Assistant, Human Resources Administrator, People Assistant, HR Administration Assistant, Personnel Assistant, Personnel Administrator, or in a similar role.
- Have at least 1 year of experience.
- Competent in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload effectively.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills.
- A diligent, dependable and trustworthy approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
