About The Role

We are looking for a motivated, professional Chartered Surveyor / Valuer to join our Assets team within the Economy and Regeneration Service. You will play a key role in delivering valuation and assets management services that support strategic development across Ceredigion.
The Role Includes:
- Undertaking valuations for all types of property transactions
- Leading the Council’s annual asset valuation cycle
- Providing expert advice to internal services and partners
- Negotiating acquisitions, disposals, wayleaves and easements
- Identifying new income opportunities and improving portfolio performance
- Guiding and supporting other team members
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and a passion for supporting the economic growth of Ceredigion.
About You
- Professionally qualified (MRICS + Registered Valuer)
- Experienced in valuation and estate management
- Confident working independently and managing a varied workload
- Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder engagement
- Politically aware and customer-focused
- Able to travel throughout the county as required (full UK driving licence)
Welsh language skills at Level 3 are required for this role. If you do not currently meet this level, we will support you to gain the necessary skills following appointment, including access to learning opportunities during working hours.
