Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience.

Employment: Permanent, 39 hours per week

Work schedule: Monday :Thursday 7am:3:30pm, Friday 7am:2:30pm

Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Upholsterer to join our growing team. Your primary responsibility will be to build, upholster and prepare high:quality furniture components, including chairs, stools, headboards, seats and pads, using a variety of fabrics, leather and vinyl. You will take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship while working efficiently to meet customer expectations and production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Foaming chairs, headboards, stools, seats and pads.
• Upholstering and tacking a range of materials including leather, vinyl and fabric.
• Measuring, cutting and preparing upholstery materials.
• Building and preparing upholstered furniture components to a high standard.
• Carrying out furniture repairs and re:upholstery where required.
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Producing accurate, high:quality work within agreed timescales.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
• Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.

Essential Skills And Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in contract furniture upholstery.
• Proven experience upholstering chairs, stools, headboards and other furniture components using a variety of fabrics, leather and vinyl.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high:quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Flexible, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
