Overview

The organization is a well-established electronics manufacturing company seeking two Test Development Engineers to join an expanding team. The role supports production test operations, develops new test solutions, and contributes to continuous improvement of test efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first‑line technical support for production test issues, including diagnosis and repair of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Design and develop test equipment, including jigs, qualification fixtures, manual and automated test systems.
  • Support new product introduction activities from a test engineering perspective.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation related to test systems and processes.
  • Support and maintain existing test hardware and software platforms.
  • Identify and implement improvements to test processes, equipment efficiency, and cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure robust and reliable test coverage.

Experience Required

  • Qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (A Level, BTEC, HNC, HND or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of electronic test equipment and its application in a manufacturing environment (manual and ATE).
  • Good understanding of test engineering principles and manufacturing test processes.
  • Knowledge of in-circuit testing (ICT) principles.
  • Experience testing switched‑mode power supplies (SMPS) or similar electronic circuitry.
  • Strong analytical and fault‑finding skills within an electronics environment.
  • Bonus skills: LabVIEW, Python, C/C/C++, Power Supply.
