Our Telford based client has been established for almost 20 years and is recognised as a leading provider of all aspects of hardware and software design through to robot systems integration and commissioning on a range of bespoke automation solutions for a diverse range of clients throughout the UK. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit two experienced Controls Service Engineer professionals to support Siemens PLC controlled Automation solutions both remotely and at customer sites throughout the UK.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful Controls Service Engineer candidates will be tasked with a combination of both planned preventative and reactive service and repair activities, as well as providing out of hours standby support on a fortnightly support rota. The candidates will initially provide remote or telephone assistance before escalating repairs to an on-site visit where required, so it is essential to hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel as required.

With excellent organisational and communication skills at all levels, you will also support the activities of fellow team members when required and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. You will be able to complete detailed service action summaries to be retained for future visits as required.

Successful Controls Service Engineer candidates will realistically have at least 3+ years experience of Siemens TIA portal, with additional experience in Profinet fault finding proving distinctly advantageous. Experience of working in highly automated environments will also be beneficial.
