Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering adapted learning activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Help create a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
  • Foster independence and confidence in all learners.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • A positive, patient, and resilient approach to support.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references from recent educational or care settings.
