We are searching for a patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the staff at a well-regarded secondary school in Maghull. This location offers a fantastic blend of a close-knit community feel with high academic standards. Location: Maghull, Lydiate, Melling, and Aintree: L31, L37
Roles type: Flexible options (Full-time, Part-time, day to day or Long-term cover).
Duties:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group support to help students master difficult subjects.
- Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
- Supervise students during practical lessons and experiments to ensure safety.
- Keep a close eye on student progress and provide simple, encouraging feedback.
- Prepare the classroom environment and resources before each lesson begins.
- Act as a reliable mentor and positive role model for teenagers.
- Support the school's pastoral team in ensuring student well-being and safety.
What You Need:
- A resilient personality and the ability to build quick rapport with local teenagers.
- Previous experience in a school, youth club, or community setting is a big plus.
