A stable and growing engineering business in Tamworth is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and long‑standing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied finance role within a supportive small team environment. To be considered, you will need demonstrable relevant accounts / bookkeeping experience and be available to start immediately or at short notice.

Your Duties:

  • Producing daily and monthly Management Reports including KPI, sales and efficiency reporting
  • Processing Sales Orders and raising Sales invoices using the Mietrak MRP system
  • Managing Purchase Ledger activities including invoice matching, reconciliations and supplier queries
  • Preparing weekly and monthly payroll reports for management approval
  • Supporting with Management Accounts preparation including WIP reporting
  • Assisting with wider office administration, stakeholder queries and maintaining finance records

Qualifications:

  • Proven relevant Accounts experience
  • Previous experience using Sage 200, Xero or similar systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle if commuting from outside of Tamworth
