The Opportunity

A prestigious 5: star luxury hotel and resort in the Midlands is looking for a talented Banqueting Sous Chef to join its culinary team.

This is a great opportunity for a Sous Chef with strong banqueting experience to work within a luxury environment, delivering weddings, conferences, private events and large: scale functions to a high standard.

Youll work closely with the Executive Chef and senior culinary team, helping to lead the banqueting operation and develop a talented kitchen brigade.

The Role

  • Support the senior culinary team across all banqueting operations
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen brigade during busy services
  • Deliver consistently high: quality food across weddings, events and functions
  • Assist with menu development and event planning
  • Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and portion control
  • Manage ordering, stock control and minimise food waste
  • Train and develop junior members of the kitchen team
  • Maintain the highest food safety and hygiene standards
  • Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs

About You

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef
  • Experience within a luxury hotel, resort or high: end banqueting operation
  • Strong experience managing high: volume services
  • A genuine passion for quality food and presentation
  • Confident leading and developing a kitchen team
  • Calm and organised under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen standards
  • Flexible approach to working across a busy hotel operation
