A global manufacturing business located in Salfords (Redhill), specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of a range of static tension and/or compression testing machines, including specialist grips, fixtures and applications is seeking a Mechanical Fitter.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and build material testing machines, mechanical and pneumatic grips, and other precise instruments.
- Fit mechanical parts including wiring looms and electronic looms and electronic displays.
- Use Pillar Drill, Manual Lathe and other tool room equipment.
- Complete paperwork such as works orders.
- Assist in annual stock counting.
- Ensure targets are met.
- Collate, fit and adapt parts to prepare equipment for testing.
- Report any changes to drawings to the Supervisor to keep records up to date.
- Monitor and check quality assurance of products being checked.
