An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Planner to join a Supply Chain Management Team on a temporary basis in Leamington Spa. The role will focus on managing material planning, supplier schedules, MRP outputs and inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.

Compensation & Details

  • Salary: £19.72 per hour
  • Location: Leamington Spa
  • Contract: Temporary, up to 3 months

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage MRP outputs, ensuring accurate and timely placement of purchase orders.
  • Convert demand requirements into supplier schedules and manage delivery performance.
  • Maintain system data accuracy, including lead times, MOQ, safety stock and pricing.
  • Work closely with production planning to ensure alignment between demand and supply.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, reducing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Develop and execute recovery plans to mitigate supply shortages and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers on supplier performance and escalation topics.
  • Participate in daily production and SIOP meetings to highlight risks and constraints.
  • Drive improvements in planning processes and system utilisation.
  • Support NPI activities from a supply and planning perspective.
  • Ensure timely resolution of invoice and delivery discrepancies.
  • Undertake any other duties required to perform the Supply Planner role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in supply planning, materials planning or a similar role.
  • Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Understanding of supply chain planning processes, including demand, supply and inventory.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, procurement and logistics teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM or similar qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience with SIOP / IBP processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing components such as castings, metals or assemblies.
  • Experience in inventory optimisation and planning parameter tuning.
  • Previous experience as a Supply Planner would be advantageous.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 noon.
