A great new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Care Co-ordinator to work in an exceptional residential care home based in the Woodbridge, Suffolk area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers. This special residential care home provides high quality residential care, dementia care and respite care.
To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care. As the Care Co-ordinator your key duties include:
- Working as part of a team to maintain the personal care of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.
- Ensuring that care services are consistently provided to a high quality standard.
- Assisting in the care of the residents' physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home.
- Assuming responsibility for the running of the home and for the wellbeing of staff and residents in the absence of the home's Manager.
- Organising your shifts, administering and recording medication, liaising with health professionals and recording to the residents' computerised care plans.
- Assisting with the induction, training and supervision of support staff.
- Assisting residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of mobility aids and personal equipment provided.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Experience of supervising a care team.
- Ability to show empathy/understanding and experience of the needs of the residents.
- Good leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Able to show a can-do attitude always.
The successful Care Co-ordinator will receive an excellent salary of GBP14.50 per hour and the annual salary of GBP27,144 per annum.
