Randstad Student Support is recruiting qualified Specialist Study Skills Support Workers to deliver tailored, one: to: one academic support to university and college students with Specific Learning Difficulties (Sp LDs) across Scotland.
This hybrid role offers exceptional flexibility, combining online delivery with essential face: to: face sessions on local campuses to suit student needs.
About The Role
As a Specialist Study Skills Support Worker, you will deliver individualised learning support designed to foster confidence and long: term academic independence.
You will work with students to
- Develop Academic Independence: Assist with organisation, time management, and personalised action plans.
- Enhance Learning Strategies: Help students leverage their unique strengths and adapt tailored study methods.
- Strengthen Research and Writing: Guide students in source critical analysis, proper referencing, academic comprehension, and structured writing techniques.
- Key Requirements
To Provide Support Funded Via SAAS / Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) In Scotland, Candidates Must Hold An Eligible Professional Membership Level With One Of The Following Recognized Bodies
- British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
- Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE)
- Dyslexia Guild
- Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
Note: Roles are strictly compliant with national DSA quality assurance frameworks.
