Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Stores Person to join a company based in Selby, North Yorkshire on a permanent basis.
The Role
The Stores Person is part of the Stores team reporting to the Stores Supervisor. The Stores Person is responsible for assisting the Stores Supervisor with the day-to-day duties of the general stores, goods in/out and quality control, which plays an integral part of ensuring the smooth running of the department.
Duties
- Intake and unload goods with suitable equipment whilst complying with health and safety procedures and signing delivery notes.
- Checking goods against the delivery note and purchase order and book parts in.
- Quality control checks on incoming goods and communicating damages to the relevant people.
- Inform the relevant person about the delivery via shared email.
- Distributing goods around site to the requested location.
- Package/book transport/prepare paperwork/load with suitable equipment goods to be dispatched.
- Request to reorder/order parts used by members of staff.
- Actively participate in the implementation of the warehouse management system and the computerized maintenance management system.
- Participate in any training deemed necessary to assist with daily duties.
- Controlling stock levels of parts and investigating any discrepancies.
- Participate with regular stock taking.
- Picking requisitions and issuing parts on the system.
- Investigate Migo queries.
- Checking/investigate cabin access.
- Controlling stock levels of gases and diesel with the responsibility of restocking.
- Having responsibility of keys for company vehicles and ensure keys are signed out/in.
- Cleaning of site vehicles.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
- Be able to prioritise, organise and manage tasks.
- Full clean UK Driving Licence essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role/environment is essential.
- FLT B1 Counterbalance licence preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
