Role Overview: Area Sales Engineer — Industrial Electrical Control and Automation. We offer a negotiable salary based on experience and excellent benefits including Car, Pension and Buy/Sell holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell high‑quality Industrial Automation products such as PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation.
- Target OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets across South Manchester and North Derbyshire, including Glossop, Buxton, Stockport, Macclesfield, Altrincham, Warrington and Liverpool.
- Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to grow existing accounts and create new business opportunities.
- Utilise technical credibility with commercial drive to solve real engineering challenges in front of customers.
- Collaborate as an effective team player while maintaining a level of autonomy.
- Maintain effective communication, organisational skills and proficiency with Microsoft packages.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven track record as a business developer and sales professional in the Electrical Control and Automation industry.
- Sales success and achievement in a similar role.
- Formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above preferred but not essential.
- Desirable: additional career development training to enhance sales skills.
