Position Summary: Area Sales Engineer – Industrial Electrical Connection Solutions, Switchgear, Power Distribution and ATEX Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales territory across the Western/M6 corridor region of England, including Wales.
  • Develop new business while maintaining and expanding existing accounts.
  • Build and nurture relationships with distribution partners within the territory.
  • Sell the company’s portfolio of industrial electrical connection solutions, control stations, and ATEX products to OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, distributors, and wholesale resellers across a wide range of industry sectors.
  • Identify suitable projects and industry sector targets, achieve preferred supplier status, and collaborate with consultants and major contractors through to order placement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong technical sales background in the electrical industrial sector.
  • Experience as an Area Sales Engineer, Field Sales, Area Sales Manager, or similar role.
  • Technical qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to illustrate technical competence and sell control industry components and specifications.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in end-user and specification sales.
  • Desired locations include Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Telford, Coventry; candidates from other locations will also be considered.

Location and Travel:

Home-based/field-based with a territory covering the M6 corridor from Cheshire to Swindon on the west side of England, including Wales. Postcodes mentioned are for advertising purposes only.

Compensation & Benefits:

Basic salary: GBP 50,000‑55,000 (DOE) plus up to GBP 15,000 bonus; Company car; Health insurance allowance; Mobile and laptop; 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays; Pension scheme.
