Are you an inspiring and empathetic educator with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs? Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join a school in Wirral. This full-time, long-term position is perfect for someone who excels at creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom for students with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD). This is an immediate start opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Customised Learning: Create and deliver highly personalised lessons that meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan and execute lessons in line with the P Scales framework.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their academic and personal development.
  • Classroom Management: Use innovative and effective teaching methods to ensure a productive and positive learning environment.
  • Student Support: Provide assistance with personal care routines when necessary.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualifications: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Eligibility: Has the legal right to work in the UK and does not require sponsorship.
  • Safeguarding: Possesses a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
  • Experience: Has essential prior experience working with SEN pupils in UK schools.
  • Skills: Exhibits excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
  • Availability: Is available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
