A growing business that is trusted by many of the world's leading automotive and mobility brands to appoint Senior Leaders and deliver intelligence-based talent strategies is looking for a Senior Researcher to join the team in Kings Somborne. You will play a critical role in supporting executive search and research assignments, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality market intelligence and candidate engagement. This position requires strong automotive sector knowledge, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and a commitment to delivering a class-leading candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth research into target organisations, markets, and industry sectors using databases, online tools, and direct outreach
- Attending client briefings, project calls, and meetings alongside Lead Consultants
- Identifying, mapping, and directly approaching senior-level candidates via telephone and digital channels
- Engaging, qualifying, and securing candidate interest and commitment to live search assignments
- Collecting and managing candidate information in full compliance with GDPR and internal processes
- Verbally assessing candidates against agreed role competencies and selection criteria
- Creating search reports through accurate database management, research insights, and market analysis
- Generating candidate referrals through senior industry contacts and professional networks
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date client and candidate records within internal systems
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and candidates through regular communication
- Continuously developing sector knowledge and staying informed on relevant industry news and trends
- Supporting business development activity through the identification and follow-up of potential leads
Qualifications
- A full, UK driving license; some UK travel may be expected
- Prior experience working within the automotive industry, with a solid understanding of market dynamics
- Proven experience in a customer or client-facing role, with regular interaction via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings. The candidate must be a confident and professional communicator
- Business development or sales experience is desirable but not essential; however, you must be open and motivated to develop in this area
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and self-development, taking a proactive approach to building knowledge and skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
