JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Testing and verifying electronic products
- Fault-finding and repairing electronic assemblies down to component level
- Reworking and repairing failed units
- Building and assembling mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies
- Conducting optical inspections of products and components
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to help us work smarter and more efficiently
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
We are keen to meet people who are curious, practical, and enjoy working collaboratively with others.
- Recognised qualification in Electronics (an apprenticeship background would be a bonus)
- Previous experience working as an Electronics Technician
- Experience assembling, testing, and repairing electronic products
- The ability to read circuit diagrams and diagnose faults to component level
- SMT soldering and rework experience
- Experience using electronic test equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-focused attitude
It would be great if you also have experience with:
- Machine vision, computer vision, or camera systems
- Prototype builds and cable assembly
- PCB layouts and ECAD tools such as Altium
- CAD software such as SolidWorks or Solid Edge
- Regulated industries including Medical, Aerospace, Defence, or Automotive
This role is subject to successful completion of BPSS security clearance prior to employment.
