Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous running of production by eliminating downtime through safe, logical fault‑finding and maintenance.
- Work on a variety of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site.
Qualifications
- Apprentice trained in a similar position (ideal).
- Electrical qualifications such as C and G 2320 P1 and P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Practical, hands‑on approach with experience in electrical fault‑finding and defect rectification, routine maintenance activities, mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics (advantageous).
- Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and provide accurate recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with operatives and team leaders.
- PLC knowledge is a plus.
