We are looking for an experienced and motivated Earthworks Site Manager to join our growing team, delivering major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong earthworks background to play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale projects.
As an Earthworks Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of earthworks operations on site, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, programme requirements, and industry standards. You will work closely with project teams, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure works are completed to the highest standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Key Requirements:- Proven experience working as an Earthworks Site Manager, Site Manager, General Foreman, or in a similar management role.
- Valid SMSTS certification (preferred).
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple work fronts, subcontractors, plant, labour, and programme delivery.
- Take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of earthworks operations on site.
- Manage site teams, supervisors, plant operators, labour, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress, programme performance, and resource allocation.
- Report regularly to Project Managers and senior management on progress, risks, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Lead site meetings, briefings, and coordination activities.
- Drive productivity and ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
