Key Responsibilities- Carry out bird surveys across a variety of habitats, including breeding, wintering, and migratory species.
- Prepare detailed reports and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Habitat Management Plans.
- Provide practical advice on bird mitigation and conservation in line with UK wildlife legislation.
- Work collaboratively with other ecologists and support project delivery.
- Experience in ornithological fieldwork and survey techniques.
- Strong knowledge of UK bird species, ecology, and relevant legislation.
- Experience producing professional ecological reports.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant degree in ecology, environmental science, or related field.
- Membership of professional bodies such as CIEEM or BTO.
- Experience with GIS mapping and ecological data analysis.
